Q Point Releases Integration to Arena PLM

Los Altos, CA
September 20, 2016

Q Point Technology today announced an integration between Q Point's Green Data Exchange system and Arena PLM. The integration enables users to view real-time environmental compliance information from within Arena PLM.

The integration synchronizes parts between Arena PLM and Green Data Exchange (GDX). Settings can specify parts that are in scope of compliance regulations and automatically filter parts that are not in scope, such as documentation and firmware. Compliance status and evidence documentation from suppliers, such as RoHS Certificates of Compliance are transmitted from GDX to Arena PLM. The integration automates manual tasks, eliminates errors, and saves time. By using GDX with Arena PLM, companies are able to manage regulations such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals. Access to the wealth of existing compliance data in GDX slashes compliance costs.

Continued rapid growth in supplier membership with compliance information from over 10,000 suppliers worldwide

Los Altos, CA
February 26, 2015

Q Point Technology today announced continued adoption of the online Green Data Exchange (GDX) system, with compliance information now available from over 10,000 suppliers, doubling the supplier base from the previous year.

A number of factors contribute to the rapid adoption. Q Point's continued investment in the product offering allows the system to be used for any commodity type, including custom and specialty parts, chemicals, bulk materials, and assemblies. Each company joining instructs all their suppliers to sign up for a free account and use the platform as a more efficient and cost effective means for obtaining compliance information. With the ability to communicate with suppliers directly within the system, and initiate and track requests for information, GDX is the natural focal point for engaging suppliers.

As the largest online exchange for compliance data, Green Data Exchange addresses the growing challenge in the supply chain of obtaining and maintaining required regulatory compliance data. With environmental regulations changing frequently, GDX reduces the cost and latency in receiving the latest information from suppliers. Green Data Exchange expanded to include Request Management

Companies can now communicate with suppliers from within the GDX application to request and track compliance information requests

Los Altos, CA
August 6, 2014

Q Point Technology announces enhancements to the online Green Data Exchange (GDX) system, enabling customers to communicate with suppliers from within GDX to request and track compliance information requests. This latest release further broadens the solution’s footprint.

Managing supply chain communication for environmental compliance is a time-consuming, ongoing affair. Companies must reach out to suppliers individually to obtain RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals information. Simply identifying the appropriate contact at a supplier often requires significant effort. Issuing requests to hundreds or thousands of suppliers, keeping track of responses, questions, commitment dates, partial fulfillment, and ongoing updates quickly becomes a logistical nightmare. Coordinating this activity among team members, typically done through email and spreadsheets, is inefficient and a drain on productivity.

Using the new Request Management workflow in GDX, companies have ready access to existing supplier contacts and can quickly initiate a request for information from within the system. Any supplier that is not yet a member of GDX can be invited to register for a free account. With all activity managed in one place, it becomes much easier to track the current status of items, resolve questions, and keep team members informed. This increase in efficiency reduces the cost of compliance.

As the largest online exchange for compliance data, with data from over 8,000 suppliers, Green Data Exchange addresses the growing challenge in the supply chain of obtaining and maintaining required regulatory compliance data. With GDX, suppliers can declare online at no cost and instantly share information with customers. With environmental information changing frequently, staying up-to-date is dramatically simplified. Announcing Green Data Exchange Enhancements For Analyzing Product Compliance

Companies can now perform more detailed evaluation of product compliance to regulations such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals

Los Altos, CA
August 7, 2013

Q Point Technology announces enhancements to the online Green Data Exchange (GDX) system, enabling customers to perform a more extensive analysis of product compliance to environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.

With the expansion of environmental regulations, companies need a way to determine the compliance of products they manufacture, based on declaration information from suppliers. Companies use GDX to obtain up to date environmental information from suppliers. Data can be evaluated against any product’s bill of materials to determine compliance of a product to RoHS, REACH, and other regulations.

To better track and manage expiring RoHS exemptions, companies can identify all exemptions utilized by a product, as well as products using specified exemptions. In order to meet Conflict Minerals’ obligations, the compliance status of any product or supplier can be determined. Product level reports can be generated, including full substance disclosure for customers.

As the largest online exchange for compliance data, GDX addresses the growing challenge in the supply chain of obtaining and maintaining required regulatory compliance data. Environmental information changes frequently today, making the traditional supplier survey approach unsustainable. With GDX, suppliers can declare online at no cost and instantly share information with the supply chain. Maintaining information is dramatically simplified, as suppliers can update information in one place, and all customers immediately access the information in their preferred format. Visit www.qpointtech.com/products/gdx to view online tours and learn more about GDX.
